Emily Brocks
Passionate about supporting others in their search for authenticity and body awareness
I'm a Danish-American, fluent in both Danish & English, having lived in Denmark since 2002. In addition to being the mother of two teenage daughters and my own experiences with the life cycle of a woman, I have extensive experience teaching & developing workshops for youth and adults on the themes of authenticity and body awareness.
I have a degree in Gender & Sexuality studies from the US, a Master of Social Work from Denmark, am a KRI Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®, a Shakti Yoga Instructor, women’s circle leader, and certified NLP coach practitioner.
In addition to my various projects through GirlCollective, I’ve also held numerous leadership roles throughout my career and have a deep breadth of knowledge and passion for developing people in the workplace. I am also an external lecturer at DIS Study Abroad in Scandinavia (since 2010), teaching courses to exchange students from American universities in the fields of gender & psychology, and most recently, a course I developed called Is the Future Feminine?.
